It’s no question that Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) is important to Dot Foods.  We’ve made strides in the way we recruit, hire, and onboard talent to ensure that each applicant is treated fairly and each new employee feels like part of the Dot family.  “Each of you and your unique contributions are irreplaceable. Dot has been on our I&D journey for many years, and we are nowhere near finished.”  Dick Tracy, President

Why is I&D important?  According to data from ScienceDaily, from a business standpoint, companies reporting the highest levels of racial diversity brought in nearly 15 times more sales revenue on average than those with the lowest levels of racial diversity.  Not only that, but “it’s just the right thing to do” says Tim Loyd, Director of Corporate Recruiting. “It’s crucial to have as much diversity of thought and opinion as we can.”

According to Corporate Recruiter Elisabeth Wurm, “Diversity gives us a global perspective and reminds us that there’s not just one way of living. We can’t be well-rounded, open minded people if we’re not building relationships with individuals that are different from us.”
