“People who live nearby can see me driving my VW camper bus, motorcycles and antique cars,” said Indiana Garage Manager Rick Fasnacht. “Or hear my wife or I burning the tires on one of our hot rods.”
Fasnacht may have been working at Dot for 13 years, but he has been working in the world of mechanics for over 50 years. Fasnacht’s love of cars began when he helped his dad work on cars and trucks. As a teenager, he started making money painting and fixing his friends cars. At 19, Fasnacht restored a 1929 antique car and his passion for antique car restoration took off. Most recently, Fasnacht restored a 1924 Model T Ford. He is a member of the Model T Ford Club of America and does parades, car shows, and tours with the club members.
Throughout the years, Fasnacht has grown his car collection quite a bit and now owns a few of the fastest and slowest American-made cars.
