The holidays might look a little different this year, but, Teaming with Local Charities (TLC) and Dot Foods are still managing to give back this season.
This year, TLC is working alongside the Salvation Army in the communities surrounding Mt. Sterling to host red kettles and will have volunteer “Bell-Ringers” on site. These volunteers will be raising money to support the Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance Programs. These programs include community dinners for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as toys for local children. The proceeds from the red kettles also support the Salvation Army’s social service programs throughout the year. This program provides rent and utility assistance to local families.
Dot Foods and employees are also partaking in the local Adopt-a-Family program. Dot consistently sponsors 16 children each year, providing gifts to make each child’s Christmas special.
If you would like the opportunity to volunteer this holiday season, please head to www.RegistertoRing.com.
